Overview

When the Smart Group feature is enabled, users will be automatically assigned to a group based on their email! Once they sign up with a specific domain, we will automatically add them to the appropriate User Group.

Creating Smart Groups

  • Click on the Users button
  • Access the Groups tab
  • Open a Group or create a new one (for instructions on how to create a new User Group, take a look here)
  • At the bottom of the page, check the option "Automatically assign users with emails containing @example.com to this group", add the domains and click 'Enter'

You can add as many domains as you like!

How Do Smart Groups Affect Current Users?

If this feature is enabled, all new AND current users with the specified email domain will be automatically added to the group.

If you simply uncheck the option, users will NOT be removed from the group - only if you remove the email domain and save the changes.
